I can watch Netflix and other streaming applications on the Apple TV and Roku device without any issues. I also checked to make sure that I have the latest version of the Plex server, which according to the system is version 1. I am running Windows Defender home security and I have no other third party security software running. I even added the IP address for the Roku device into the network settings on the Plex server software. I have also logged out and logged in on Plex on my computer and on the Apple TV and Roku devices. I have rebooted my computer, the Apple TV device and the Roku device and it still does not work. I have a Nord VPN, but I shut this off because I read that it could be causing problems. When I attempt to run the Plex app on either device it indicates that it cannot connect to the Plex media server that is in my office. Unfortunately, I am now unable to connect to the Plex server on either device. For the past year or so, I have been using Plex on my home network and streaming movies from the hard drive in my home office to a an Apple TV in my home cinema, and to my family room TV on a Roku device.Įverything has been working perfectly until the last few weeks.
